Featuring Snarky Puppy's Shaun Martin, Jordan Proffer releases his first single combining dreamy 80's rock with elements of jazz and hip-hop.
This single has been a long time coming and combines a lot of my influences, such as 80's pop/rock, the "Dallas sound", and even orchestral music into one product. As you can hear in the track, I love a good combination of parts and improvisation. There's nothing like locking into a groove and just staying there, but there's also nothing like having freedom to do whatever you want and just expressing yourself.
Although Sam Farr produced the track, he also plays guitar and sings in an alternative rock/dream pop band called Have Near that we're in together. I got the guitar tones all from his gear.
The highlight of the track for me, aside from Shaun's solo, are the tones that I was able to get from my Juno 106. It definitely broke the bank, but it's been totally worth it.
A funny story from recording this track is that I actually recorded all of the drums and guitar with Sam back in June or July 2021, and because of some rare technical issues, we ended up losing all of the files. Who knows if the first take was better or not! Lol. But this is from our second day recording.
After months and months of tweaking and fine tuning the mix with Sam, we finally got it right, and I'm excited to share it with you all.

This is one of my favorite electronic records. HOME has such a nostalgic sound, and there's some awesome art that goes with his tunes on a Youtube channel called Electronic Gems. Jordan Proffer
This album is stupid locked in, which is a given with anything Mark does, but especially with Jason Thomas on drums and Wes Stephenson on bass. You definitely won't be disappointed! Jordan Proffer
